Illustration Friday, The revolution!
Hey there, this weeks illustration friday entry pokes a little fun at the more arty farty part of I.F. Not to be taking seriously though as it is just a bit 0f fun. After being a fan and regular(ish) participator of I.F I've came to notice that none of my favourite group (cartoon) seem to be getting top spot. So I came up with this idea so take that modern impressionist type illustrators! I take a stand for my fellow cartoonists, we might be the Ewoks of the star wars saga that is the illustration world but by god people love us and don't you forget it! S.F

Triumphant return to Illustration Friday! (Hopefully)
Well it's been a while since I entered anything to IF so thought I' get out my rut and submit this week. The topic was Atmosphere and although I don't normally I decided to go with the first thing that came to my head which was this unlucky diver. Again I played around with the lighting and although I think I do still need some improvement until I hammer this skill I think it's worked out not too bad at all! Anyway, more drawings await so until later... SF

Space Filler
Hey kids! Just thought I'd attempt to draw straight onto my computer with my tablet instead of going my usual method of draw - scan - colour. Not a bad attempt, could of used a lil more time on the lighting but apart from that a pretty good outcome. Not sure what's going on in the picture though. Some sort of hobo caveman bear thing going on. Anyway yeah just a quick sketch and something to put up here since i've neglected my blog for a few weeks. Anyway, speak soon, take care, cheerio.SF.

Long time no see!
Well it's been a while but what better way to back in the swing of things than with a Sea Police concept. Basically Sea police is an early stage comic about, well, sea police. One of the many ideas for a possible strip in the comic was Sealems lot, a retelling of Stephen Kings Salems lot. Only difference is of course instead of humans our townsfolk are seals and instead of a bloodsucking vampire it's The Cures frontman Robert Smith! Anyway I basically redrew the original Salems Lot poster with some slight alterations and hey presto, a good little bit of concept.I also received my SketchbookProject sketchbook the other day so will be working hard to attempt to fill that before I must mail it back. No doubt pictures will follow for that. So hopefully be back soon with some other creative goodness! Later.SF.
(I added the original poster just to show the likeness)
